Beautiful but non-functionalJan 03, 2011

Bought this as a gift for the MIL. She loved it because it IS a beautiful piece but I was expecting it to be able to hold flowers- which it can't. Maybe a stem or two. It's purely a decoration piece and NOT a flower vase.

At the time I tried to buy this, the only images shown for the vase made it look like a lavender shade. (It was supposed to be a gift for someone, and I wanted something complementary of other items in that home.) The vase we actually received was a really dark, dirty-looking blue! I sent it back, filling out the return form to request a replacement that looked more like the online image. No response for a month. Emailed the seller to ask if they actually had the item represented online or not. No email reply from the seller, but a new box appeared a week or so later. This second vase looked more like most of the images currently shown online, the blue and wine red combo. Still not at all as represented online at that time, but the gift recipient was okay with it, so we kept it.
A further word regarding the appearance of the item: The walls of the vase are much thicker than other hand-blown glass I've seen before. Up close the vase looks a little heavy, but from a distance it looks normal.

I saw this piece and read the reviews and decided to go for it. Mine came and looked exactly like the picture. One review the person said you couldn't really put flowers in it due to the opening being small. I was able to put a small boquet of fresh flowers in it and it looked great. The vase is heavy and doesn't seem like it would tip easily. Great product great buy!

This item appears to be bright blue and red from the image. However, the colors blend so much, it appears more brown than anything else. The blue simply does not show.

I got this vase for my mom, and it is very pretty, but also very heavy for a vase. It also has a small opening, so you can't get a lot of flowers in it. I love the design though.
